You will be able to enjoy the fantastic starfish, as they are everywhere and are the true queens of the place. Saona Island is the turning point for many visitors to Punta Cana and we are sure that if you visit it, it can be one of the best moments of your vacation!

It is the perfect excursion to do with adults, with children, friends or a partner. Once on the island you can walk through a natural pool in the Caribbean Sea, since the water on Saona Island has no waves at all and only covers up to your knees. 07:00 – Pick up from your hotel to the meeting point. 08:30 – Departure by bus from our starting point to Bayahibe. 10:30 – We will arrive in Bayahibe, very close to La Romana, the point from which the catamaran leaves for Isla Saona. 10:45 – We board the catamaran where you can taste local drinks and enjoy the boat's entertainment group to the rhythm of Dominican music. 11:45 – We arrive at Saona Island. The reason for our excursion begins and from the moment you step onto dry land you can begin to enjoy the unique landscape of beaches and jungle while we prepare lunch. 13:00 – Free buffet, where you will taste the best dishes of Dominican Creole cuisine. 14:30 – Our entertainment team will teach you how to dance to typical songs from the Dominican Republic. 15:30 – We return by boat to Bayahibe, pausing in the natural pool to see the starfish. 17:00 – Transport back to your hotel to rest after a wonderful day. 18:00 – End of the excursion

    È assolutamente un’escursione da fare se ci si trova in questa zona. Io alloggiavo a Punta Cana e il transfer per raccogliere tutti i turisti dai vari hotel e arrivare al posto di Bayahibe è stato abbastanza lungo (circa 1 ora e mezza), quindi bisogna armarsi di pazienza e sapere che tanto tempo andrà via nel viaggio. Una volta arrivati al porto abbiamo preso il catamarano (con musica e open bar, divertente!) per raggiungere l’isola di Saona, un’altra ora e mezza circa, ma NOTA BENE al ritorno siamo rientrati con un motoscafo, niente animazione né bar ma una semplice barca veloce. Per tutto il giorno cercano di venderti qualsiasi cosa: sigari, foto professionali, pina colada, addirittura una bottiglia di Mamajuana con la tua foto, ma basta dire di no e se ne fanno una ragione. Noi non abbiamo speso nulla oltre al biglietto. Sicuramente ne vale la pena, ma ripeto bisogna armarsi di pazienza perché appunto si faranno 3+3 ore di viaggi per stare 3 ore sull’isola!
