Da Puerto Plata: Passeggiata a cavallo lungo il fiume di montagna

For the tour, we pick up clients from Puerto Plata, Sosua, Cabarete and surrounding areas. You can point us to any pickup address in the area 🙂

To start, we’ll drive to a rancho in the countryside, where we’ll have coffee and get instructions for the horseback ride. The important thing is that the activity is designed for both experienced riders and people who have never even sat on a horse’s back in their lives 😉

Just remember to have comfortable clothes (such as a t-shirt and shorts or leggings) and shoes that won’t fall off your feet (athletic shoes, water shoes or trekking sandals). A handy bag or backpack for water, camera, or phone is also useful. Such equipment is completely enough to become a Dominican cowboy 🙂

The route of our ride will lead through country roads, pastures and finally in the gentle mountains, where we will reach the river. From this point on we will follow the riverbed and cross it many times, which is very picturesque as well as fun. Both horses and riders have fun as we ride into the water! We will also make a stop to rest and swim in the river 🙂

Our horseback trip usually lasts between 2.5 and 3.5 hours. After returning to the rancho, we will celebrate the happily completed ride with a sip of mamajuana 🙂

As an option, you can opt for an extended tour option – a 4 hour ride with lunch included.
