Welcome to Taino Gourmet, where you’ll be guided on a journey of flavors and taste by your expert host. Our goal is to share the rich culture and history of the Dominican Republic with our guests, and what better way to do that than through the island’s most famous and beloved product: rum?
We will take you on a tour of the world of rum, introducing you to the history and production process of Oliver & Oliver Rum House. You’ll learn how to identify the subtle differences that set each rum apart and have the opportunity to taste and compare a selection of these unique spirits.
But the fun doesn’t stop there – we’ll also be pairing each rum with a selection of complementary chocolate and cheese, chosen to bring out the best in each variety. GREAT experience! 10/10 would recommend 🤩 the tour guide Anthony was excellent, and it was so interesting to learn about how the rum is produced. The taster session itself (which had 4 of their different runs to taste + pairing nibbles) was fantastic. Such great fun in a group tour environment 🙂 Return transfer was great, too 👌🏼 only thing is we were told collection at 11.30am and the driver was calling us at 11.15am saying he was here so was a bit of a rush!! Great value for money, a chance to shop in the gift shop afterwards too. THANK YOU ANTHONY and team xxx
